Stick Fighter enables you to create flipbook-style animations using a simple touch interface.
Ad-supported version. If you have any questions, problems, or requests, please email me at the address below.
There are three main screens in the app.
Edit Animation:
- The Edit Animation screen allows you to browse through the frames you have created and edit or delete them. Swipe to the left or right to view additional frames. If no frames yet exist then a blank frame is automatically generated for you
- First button is a shortcut to the first frame in the animation
- Last button is a shortcut to the last frame in the animation
- Edit button opens for editing the frame that is currently centered in your view
- Insert button inserts a new frame that is an exact copy of the current frame
- Delete button deletes the frame that is currently centered in your view
- It is recommended that you use a stylus if possible, as the points can be very close together
Edit Frame:
- The Edit Frame screen is where you change how an individual frame looks. The bottom left of the screen displays the position of the current frame. A shadow of the previous frame is drawn in grey
- Pressing the Menu button on your device allows you to change between the two action modes: Move and Modify. When Move is active, touching a blue point will move the whole object and touching a red point will move the selected limb (or rotate the whole object if it is not a person). When Modify is active, tapping a blue point will bring up the object modification screen in which you can change the color and size of the object
- The stick figure button allows you to add various objects to the current frame
- The toolbar can be repositioned using the button on the far right
- The previous and next buttons go to the previous and next frames. If you are at the last frame then a new frame is created that is a copy of the current frame.
- Dragging objects over the recycling can in the bottom righthand corner deletes them from the current frame
View Animation:
- The View Animation screen is where you will watch the animation you have created. Immediately upon entering this screen, extra frames will be automatically generated to smooth out the animation
- Pressing the Menu button on your device will open up the options menu. From here you can change the rate at which the frames are displayed, the number of frames created between the frames you have defined (which are used to smooth out the animation), and whether the animation repeats upon ending
- Swiping the screen will display the toolbar. On it are three buttons: play/pause, seek forward, seek backward
This software uses code of FFmpeg licensed under the LGPLv2.1 and its source can be downloaded by sending a request to the application's author (terenceweber@gmail.com)
Known issues:
- Very large animations (200+ frames) with many objects run into memory issues when interpolating frames and can also take over a minute to initially load.
- Deleting animations is very slow overall
Alterações recentes:
- Added bow object
- Added arrow object
- Selection circles now change color depending on current edit mode
- When in "Modify" edit mode you can now stretch individual points
- After exporting an animation to video you are now given the option to send it as an email attachment
- Improved the error messages when importing/exporting
- Devices running Android 2.2 or higher can now move the app to SD card (for real this time)
- Added a memory crunch after loading that slightly
